Rex Kenyon revised the parameters for the campership.  It's now for Scouts who need camperships from any Fort Hood US Army family or Gold Star family, or children of retired US Army soldiers who are still in the Fort Hood area.  (His son had been planning to live in the Fort Hood area when he retired from service.)  For more info, click here. 28 May Camp Tahuaya Workday. There are several projects needing to be accomplished prior to summer camp. Meeting time is 8:30, with work beginning at 9. There is normally a chainsaw certification conducted 30 minutes prior to the meeting. Please insure you RSVP to Michael Marek, so they can plan properly for the provided lunch. You can also call Michael, at 254-780-7285. The Leon Valley District has adopted the Waco Jaycees campsite, but units can help wherever they see fit. Additional info can be found, by clicking here.
