It is that time of year again, WEBELOS are getting ready to cross over and take on their new path into Boy Scouts. And it is is that time of year as well to make this bridging over in their lives as memorable as possible. We will be hosting a bridging ceremony for any WEBELOS who wish to have their bridging at the amphitheater during the Saturday evening camp fire with the OA and boys from various local troops. What better setting for a boy to take his steps from one part of his scout life, into another, than in front of scouts from all over Texas who are making traveling it with their fellow brothers.

February 13th -14th at Camp Tahuaya is the Council WEBELOS Woods and we need volunteers to help make this a great event. Leaders and Adult volunteers we need 10-12 helpers to set up, food and help with organization. Range workers, Mess hall, nearly anything can use some assistance and if you have something you would like to demonstrate and teach, please step forward and let us know.

Scouts needing service hours, this is a great opportunity to help run events and activities and earn service hours towards your ranks. With the new regulations every scout needs service hours, so here is your chance to have fun and earn a bit of credit for it as well.

For those who wish to attend the days events, but also have family who would like to be at the bridging but not attend during the day, they are welcome without cost after 5pm, but need to check in.

Please contact us with numbers of boys bridging, troop they will bridging into and other information beforehand, and make sure you advise the receiving troop of your plans so they can attend and receive the young scout into their unit.
